Projects for The Whizzies
INFORMATIONAL WRITING-WAX MUSEUM
Greetings!! The Whiz Kids have begun to explore the Informational Writing Unit. The children are integrating the Native American unit they recently completed in social studies with the standards and format for composing an informational writing piece. The children will actively research the Native American tribe of their choice and create a script with their group members on the Native American tribe they have selected. The children will create costumes and choreograph the movements for their presentation at the Wax Museum. The children will move as wax figures do at the prompting of music. This is a VERY exciting time for them!! To assist with their research, I have posted information on this page and the Home page. Parents will be invited to the presentation!! Mrs. Traeger's homeroom will begin at 8:30 and Ms. Walker's homeroom will begin at 10:15.
I have posted the following links for research to assist them with the process of gathering facts and artifacts
